About Shannon Jarvis, APCC

Shannon is currently pursuing licensure requirements in the State of California as a supervised Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC). She provides psychotherapy services with a unique blend of teaching and ministry experience. Shannon believes in creating a safe, supportive space where individuals, couples, and families can heal from past pain, find strength in the present, and move toward the future with renewed hope and confidence. Her holistic approach addresses the neurobiological, psychological, emotional, and social factors that shape well-being.

With over 20 years of experience working with children, Shannon specializes in supporting those struggling at home or in school. She integrates play therapy and child-centered interventions informed by the latest research and best practices. As a wife and mother with 30+ years of life experience, she offers a relatable and insightful perspective to those navigating the challenges of family and marriage relationships. Her therapeutic approach is grounded in her experience and training with cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-informed care, internal family systems, emotionally focused therapy, polyvagal theory, and the Townsend Model based on Object Relations Theory.
