Lauren Kim is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who provides psychotherapy for children, adolescents, young adults, couples, and families. Lauren takes an integrative, systemic approach to therapy, drawing from a variety of therapeutic modalities to meet the individual needs of each client. She primarily utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), while incorporating strengths-based and experiential techniques into her work. Lauren believes that each client brings a unique set of experiences, relationships, and challenges into therapy. In the therapy space, Lauren is committed to creating a supportive and collaborative environment through a warm, empathetic, and individualized approach. She supports clients in developing greater self-awareness, strengthening relationships, and building skills to navigate life’s challenges. Lauren has a particular interest in working with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional and behavioral challenges, stress, and difficulties related to relationships and family dynamics.

  • Supporting children through life transitions, adjustment difficulties, and changes in family, school, or social environments.
  • Helping children develop social-emotional skills and navigate peer relationships, friendship difficulties, and social challenges at school.
  • Play-based therapy to help children express emotions, build coping skills, increase self-awareness, and develop healthier behavioral patterns.
